When I Feel Frustrated, I Do....

I have heard from a lot of my friends that they get frustrated or stressed out really quickly. School's now these days put a lot of pressure on teenagers to do well. So today I am just going to give you some tips on what to do when frustrated.

1. Take Breaks
A lot of people might know this, but it is scientifically proven by Stanford and Yale University that taking breaks actually helps going through a project easier. You have to set time limits. Crunching it all in just one time period is something which is never going to help you. People who do this actually take twice or thrice of what is required to complete the assignment. Taking ideal small 5-10 min breaks is really good. This is a perfect time to go outside, drink water, get a stretch, even just close your eyes for sometime. Most probably you sit at a computer for far to long which actually make you more stressed out when thinking about the project.

2. Drink PLENTY of Water
You might hear about all these fancy sports drinks which are supposed to keep you energized, but really you are harming your body. Sports drinks contain loads of sugar and even when it says no sugar added there will be chemicals in there to create a supplement for the sugar. Sugar is something, which can bring your focus down a lot. So, the best drink is just regular H20. Water is something plain and nice and it can just keep you hydrated which is key for being focused and not getting stressed. You should always have a bottle of water next to you so even if you are working you can get a quick sip and go back to your work.

3. Don't Multitask
As many people think that multitasking is a talent, which can help you do the work more faster. First of all this wrong in many cases. You should just work on that task at hand and then don't try to wander off into different subjects. This is the best way to actually get your work done faster and the work that you put in will really payoff.

4. Finally, Have a System
Basically this means is to have someway of being focused. I am a person who can get really distracted, and that hurt my grades a little bit, but then when I found ways to boost my concentration it helped me by a lot. The internet is a great place to get apps for your computer so that you can block sites/apps and have a certain time limit at that assignment. But, don't forget to take breaks. If you use these apps to you advantage and actually focus, you won't be that frustrated and you get your work in done faster. Some apps that I have explored is one called HeyFocus, this is a great app for Mac or PC. This app allows you to block any website you want from Tumblr to Yahoo and this can also block apps like Skype or Spotify. You can set specific time periods from this app to help you be focused. This app does cost money and I did buy it and this will change the way you work. The second app that I know of is called Freedom for Mac or PC. This app lets you block the internet as a whole or specific websites. This is one is a pretty good one, but I love going onto Skype sometimes and Freedom does not let you do that. Other than that Freedom is pretty good focus app for just the internet.

I would really like it if you guys find any other websites that are good with keeping your focus up. Or, if there is some strategy that you like to do that is not in this list put it in the comments and I'll take a look at them.

Thanks
